Bless the Lord, Oh my Soul
Bless the Lord, Oh my Soul
Bless the Lord, Oh my Soul
Bless the Lord, Oh my Soul

I really loved this song from Chapel today. It really makes you stop and ponder on all things God has blessed us with in our lives. I really have been feeling so blessed this week. God is reminding me that He is guiding me through, and has everything under control, according to His will. This past Sunday I read Romans 8 (NIV) before I went to bed, and was so glad that I had. It offered me much needed encouragement, along with good thoughtful advice. Here are three verses that inspired me:

"18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us... 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness... 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

These verses remind me that nothing in present time is worth me worrying over, that everything is planned already according to God's will for each of our lives. God is there in our troubles, trials, and hardships, and there's comfort in knowing that God will be there for you, even more than He already is, during these times in our lives. Everything has a purpose, and God knows what that purpose is. When we rely on Him, we can get through these dark times in our lives. Wow. I thank God so much for reminding me of His goodness in this passage.

Blessings I have come across this week:
~Encouraging reminders from friends that they care, and are praying for me
~Bible verses and songs that offer hope
~The rainbow I saw this week that demonstrated hope amongst the darkness
~A surprise visit from Adam at school, when I was really missing him
~Spending time with family

God, thank you for blessing me, not only this week, but always, even when I don't realize that I am blessed.
