We're Getting Through This

Although there are many uncertainties with Adam's A-school right now, what's helping us get through this time of separation is the communication that we are allowed with each other. We both just got Skype; a web-cam for my computer, and a new lap-top with a built-in camera for him (which Adam has noted has been our only big purchase since being married). How come we didn't get Sype before?!?! It is SOO cool!! This really has helped because not only do I get to talk with him, I also get to see him, all at the same time! Gotta love our advancing technology!! Not only have I used it to talk to Adam, but I also get to now Skype with my dear friend who is teaching in South Korea, whom I miss terribly! I love it!!! :D

(Just thought I would share my excitement with you all)

What We've Been Waiting For

Adam's graduation from Navy Bootcamp came as quickly as it left. Why does it always seem that time travels faster when you are having fun, but goes slower when you are bored and alone? Shouldn't it be the reverse? Anyways, the day that both Adam and I were anxiously waiting for, for two months, turned out to not only be one but TWO days!!! God definitely knew that we needed that extra day, so I am eternally grateful for that precious blessing of the extra time we got to spend together. Unfortunately, since we were so consumed in the excitement of seeing each other, it really didn't seem like it was Easter, since Easter was spent travelling all day to get back home. This does not mean, however, that I am not still ever so eternally grateful for Christ's self-less sacrifice He portrayed to us, by dying on the cross, and raising from the dead- so amazing!!

I am so proud of Adam's accomplisments and couldn't be more happier for him! He looked so good in both of his uniforms, don't you think so, too!!??!! The wait was so worth it!!!! :D

Please continue to pray for our future, as things are looking a little shaky right now. Please be praying that we make the right decisions, for the right reasons.

Officially a Sailor's Wife

Today I got that call from Adam that I knew would be coming. I knew it would be coming because I believed in him all along the way and knew he was capable of completing it, if his heart, mind, and soul was committed. All of our prayers were answered, and God saw him through. Today, I am "officially" the wife of my lovely, dear Sailor!!!!

Congratulations Adam, we knew you could do it!!!!!! Now only 3 more days until I get to see him graduate ♥

Join me in Praying for Adam

So I have gotten some other letters from Adam. In his last letter, that I got today, he asked me to keep him in his prayers all this week. Adam hasn't asked me for prayer this whole time (even though I have prayed for him since the beginning), so I know that now that he is asking for prayer, he really needs it. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers, as this week he has final personal inspection, final drill inspection his last test, the last bit of his training, and his last shots (which leave him sore). Thank you all! PS: Only 10 more days til I get to see him!!!!!!!!!!

I only have 4 weeks left until I graduate from college and have my bachelor's degree. I only have 4 weeks left until I graduate from college and have my bachelor's degree. If you are wondering, that is not a typo, I just like how that sounds!!! So, since I'm graduating, it is that time for graduation pictures. My lovely, creative, and talented friend Hannah Pedraza took my pics, yet again, and I love the results!! I am so thankful for her and her talents! Oh and her friendship, too. :D Here are my favorites, you might have some different favorites, check em out on my FB.

One More Year of Blessed Friendship

It all began before I was born or even my brother was born, that my wonderful mother met another wonderful woman, while they were working. Sparks began to fly, or shall I rephrase, friendship sparks began to fly. At that point, no one could stop it, it was bound to be, that Pam Pedraza and Peggy Cooney would be friends 'til the end. Wouldn't it be nice if the story just ended there?!? Oh boy, if that would be true! However, the story does not end there. ;D

As they both began to have children, yes, their children were forced to be friends. They would beat us children if we didn't play nicely or if we didn't get along...ok TOTALLY just kidding.

The truth is, my brother and I got along very well with the Pedraza family van trap. Hannah and I were pretty close when we were younger. When her family moved away when she was 6 and I was 5, that was not the end of it. We became pin-pals and wrote to each other consistently throughout the years. Yes, it was like one of those movies that you only see or hear about on T.V. We actually WROTE letters to each other. As Hannah transferred to a college that was closer to me than where they moved, our friendship began to develop more, and into what it is today.

One thing that I am so sure of, is that I am glad that our mothers met, way back where the story began, because Hannah has become a dear friend. I can't wait to see how our friendship will turn out, but hoping that it turns out to be just as good as our mother's!

Hannah turned one year older this past week, which means one more year of friendship we have shared with each other. This past weekend we celebrated her birthday. We went to the MOCA (Museum Of Contemporary Art) with her sisters and two other friends. Then we had a nice birthday dinner with a lot of her other friends. It was a nice day!

Here are some pics from our day:

The beautiful weather we had for our MOCA trip

Her sister, my friend too, Rachele and I at MOCA!

And lastly, me and the lovely Hannah on the day of my wedding :D

This post is in honor of our friendship. Love you Hannah, Happy Birthday!

Another Craft Project

I have been having fun making cards to send to people for certain holidays, events, encouragement, etc. Here is another card I made this week. The ribbon was the inspiration for the design of the card. Just thought I'd share it with the world.
